Conflict of interest
Our Commitment Against Conflicts of Interest
At Tilvest, we place our clients' interests at the heart of all our decisions.
This is why, in accordance with regulations, we have implemented a framework for preventing and managing conflicts of interest, in a spirit of transparency, fairness and professionalism.
💡 What is a conflict of interest?
According to regulations, a conflict of interest may arise between at least two clients of Tilvest or between Tilvest and:
- its shareholders or partners,
- any person directly or indirectly linked to Tilvest or to its shareholders or partners through a control relationship, the members of its management bodies,
- its employees, or
- its clients.
To put it more simply, such a situation may therefore concern persons "linked" to Tilvest who would have, on a personal basis, interests that are a priori competing, or even potentially contrary, to those, in particular, of our company or yours due to, for example, economic or financial ties.
🔍 How do we manage these situations?
Our system is based on simple and effective principles:
- Identify risks as soon as they arise,
- Manage potential impacts or withdraw from the situation,
- Report and record conflicts internally,
- Inform, if the situation cannot be avoided,
- Continuously enhance our process.
And, more generally, we ensure to document and monitor each situation to prevent it from recurring.
👩💻 All our employees are involved
Each Tilvest employee is made aware of these issues upon their arrival.
In summary, each person commits primarily to:
- prioritize the interests of clients and Tilvest above all,
- avoid any ambiguous situation or advantage that would not be compliant, and
- alert their hierarchy or our Compliance Officer as soon as any doubt exists.
✅ A structuring approach in constant optimization
Our management of conflicts of interest is eminently cross-functional and thus involves different actors within our company: Tilvest Management, Compliance, Human Resources, each of our employees and their hierarchy.
It is regularly updated to remain aligned with, in particular, our clients' expectations or the legislator's requirements.
📌 Concrete examples
At Tilvest, we believe that a strong ethical framework is also measured by the way sensitive situations are managed.
We have thus been able to detect certain cases of potential conflicts of interest with companies owned by the founders of Tilvest (or in which they exercise responsibilities). To limit the risk of occurrence of such risk, we have implemented appropriate measures and, depending on the situations, ensured:
- the definition of normal contractual conditions in our agreements with these entities, or
- the inclusion, by these companies, of clear information in their pre-contractual and contractual documentation with their clients.
Our teams obviously remain at your disposal for any clarification regarding our approach.
